Charlotte FC preparing for away match against CF Montréal

Charlotte FC returns to play with an away match against CF Montréal after having last week off.

This is the fifth overall matchup between the two teams and the first of the season. Charlotte is yet to win a game against Montréal in their previous four matchups, losing three and drawing one.

Charlotte FC is on their longest winless streak in MLS play this season with three draws and a loss. Charlotte remains in sixth place in the MLS Eastern Conference, one point behind New York City FC.

Montréal is also winless in the previous four matches with a draw and three loses, being outscored 12-3 over that span. Montréal are currently 13th in the MLS Eastern Conference with 27 points while allowing the second most goals in MLS with 58.

Charlotte has struggled to score goals this season, especially recently. Since the return of Karol Świderski, Charlotte has scored just one goal from open play. With Montréal allowing the second most goals in MLS, this match could be an opportunity for Charlotte to get into good goal scoring form entering the final stretch of the regular season.

The match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, September 14 and will be available to stream on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
