Charlotte FC has announced the signing of free agent midfielder Jamie Paterson through the 2024 season with an option for the 2025 season.
Paterson is being reunited with Charlotte FC’s manager, Dean Smith, who he played under for three years at Walsall FC.
Paterson finished the 2023/24 season with Swansea City with seven goals and six assists in 44 appearances in the EFL Championship.
Paterson appears to be the final acquisition for Charlotte as they gear up for the remainder of the MLS regular season following the Leagues Cup break.
Charlotte resumes play on Saturday, August 24th against New York Red Bulls after nearly a month off after being eliminated from Leagues Cup play in the group stage.
