Leigh Centurions and Bradford Bulls will be looking to bounce back on Monday Night Rugby.

Leigh Centurions and Bradford Bulls will be looking to bounce back from Round 2 defeats when they clash at Leigh Sports Village on Premier Sports tomorrow night.

Both sides suffered defeats last week, with the Bulls losing 28-14 to Sheffield Eagles after a promising opening day win against Dewsbury Rams.

Leigh lost 28-6 to promotion rivals Featherstone Rovers last Monday, despite dismantling Whitehaven 50-6 in Round 1.

The two sides will have the same aspirations for the upcoming season, with both wanting to be in and around the play-off spots with the main goal being a return to the Super League.

Leigh were relegated from the top tier last season, but they now have a much changed squad from the one who competed in Super League last year.

Centurions also boast former Wigan Warriors head coach Adrian Lam, who won the League Leaders Shield in 2020 but his side ultimately lost in the Grand Final to St Helens.

His new look side have won the Championship League Leaders Shield three times but only once did they achieve promotion through the now scrapped middle eights.

It is set to be a tough challenge for John Kear’s Bulls. Some Bulls supporters see this as the side’s toughest test against one of the top teams.

The Bulls struggled against their promotion rivals last season, with the Yorkshire outfit finding it hard to compete with the league’s favourites.

The Bulls do boast a new signing ahead of the clash with Leigh. Chester Butler signed on loan from Huddersfield Giants this week and he could make his league debut tomorrow night.

There is also a return to the 21-man squad for Sam Scott, and summer recruit Samy Kibula could make his debut.

Chris Green will miss out for Leigh Centurions after breaking his arm in last week’s defeat to Featherstone, with Jy Hitchcock taking his place. Adam Sidlow and Ed Chamberlain could also start after missing out last week.

In the last five encounters with Leigh, the Bulls have: won one, drawn one and lost three. The last time these two met was in 2019, which Leigh won comfortably 50-20 at the Sports Village.
