The Black and Whites last faced Wigan in the Super League Semi Final last season with the Warriors cruising to a 29-2 victory to reach the Grand Final. But this season Hull are a team reformed under new coach Brett Hodgson. Wins over Huddersfield Giants, Salford Red Devil, Wakefield Trinity and a draw against Warrington Wolves see them sit in third.
Wigan who have won all four of their league games have seen their performances improve week after week. The return of Bevan French against Castleford was a massive boost for the Cherry and Whites which saw the winger score a brace on his return.
There is just the one change for Wigan who see Tommy Leuluai miss out with a sternum injury. Sam Halsall comes into the squad to replace him.
The Warriors are still without Oliver Gildart, Liam Marshall and Dom Manfredi who are all still recovering from injury.
The Visitors make two changes to their squad Bureta Faraimo misses out after picking up a two-match suspension against Wakefield Trinity. Josh Bowden is also out through injury. FC will also be without their new signing Josh Reynolds who is a big miss for Bret Hodgson’s side.
Harvey Barron is named in the squad for the first time whilst Jack Brown comes back into the side after his suspension.
