It kick-starts the Premier League weekend under the lights in Norfolk.
The Hornets came close to picking up an important point last weekend as they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Chelsea at Vicarage Road.
Goalkeeper Ben Foster came close to preserving a point with a last minute header, but it was saved by Kepa in the Blues net.
As for Norwich, they suffered their fifth defeat in six Premier League games, losing 2-0 away at Brighton.
With just two points between the two going into this game, it’s set to be a key encounter, with the two teams directly above them, Southampton and Everton also meeting this weekend.
For the hosts, they continue to be without long-term absentee Timm Klose who is out with a knee injury, while Grant Hanley and Christoph Zimmermann both remain out but are expected to come back after the international break.
Mario Vrancic is available for the first time since August after being out with a calf injury, while Ibrahim Amadou and Todd Cantwell have both made it back to full fitness.
As for Watford, they are set to welcome back captain Troy Deeney after being out with a knee-injury, Etienne Capoue and Ismaila Sarr have both come back into training and could make the bench.
“The results are not nice. Right now is a tough place to be in with moods and confidence of players, but we’re looking much better.
“There probably is more pressure on Watford than us, they are in a worse position than us and it’s not easy, they are meant to be an experienced Premier League team.”
“If I say we miss him a lot, it sounds like an excuse. We don’t want excuses right now. We want to play, improve on everything and we want Deeney in this team as we know what he means for this club.
“He has done amazing to try reach this match. He is training very passionately and gives us this positive energy that he has always.”
