Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to miss two weeks of action with a minor knee problem.
The England full-back sustained the injury during the Reds’ 1-0 victory over Brighton at the weekend. He did play the full 90 minutes, however.
The 20-year-old will not require surgery to fix the problem and Liverpool will be monitoring his fitness.
As well as Alexander-Arnold, Jurgen Klopp will also be without Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum for Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace at Anfield.
The Dutchman also has a knee problem which the Reds will treat with caution, tracking his progress on a day-to-day basis.
Alexander-Arnold has started 17 games for Liverpool in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal which came in their 3-0 away victory against Watford in November.
Wijnaldum has made 21 league appearances for the Reds this campaign and has also scored one goal. His lone strike in the league coming against Tottenham in a 2-1 away win in mid-September.
