TIMBERS LOAN MIDFIELDER MICHAEL NANCHOFF TO SWEDISH CLUB JÖNKÖPINGS SÖDRA

The Portland Timbers today announced that the club has loaned midfielder Michael Nanchoff to Swedish club Jönköpings Södra IF through Nov. 27.
Nanchoff, 24, left to join Jönköpings Södra IF of Sweden’s Superettan (second division) on Tuesday.
Signed by the Timbers on Feb. 21, 2013, Nanchoff has appeared in eight games this season across all competitions.
The North Royalton, Ohio, native recorded a team-best four goals and one assist in five matches with the Timbers Reserves. He also tallied a goal and an assist for the Timbers in a 2-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the fourth round of the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on June 12 at JELD-WEN Field.
A three-year MLS veteran, Nanchoff played two seasons (2011-12) with Vancouver Whitecaps FC, logging 282 minutes in 14 MLS appearances.
